Sarah Dyer Killeen

Sarah Dyer Killeen

Matron of Honor

Sarah is Mary's sister. As the older sister, she's spent most of Mary's life alternating between giving her a hard time and looking out for her. Somewhere between childhood bedtime trolling and adulthood late night phone calls, she became one of Mary's closest friends and most trusted confidants. From following Sarah to UCLA to being the first to meet Jake after only four dates, Sarah has been woven into so many of the moments that have shaped Mary's life. She has a gift for making people feel heard and helping them think through life's challenges, which is probably why as the family lawyer, she gets consulted on everything from lease agreements and bike tickets to how, exactly, one should go about getting out of jury duty. She's endlessly curious, fiercely loyal, and somehow knows more about niche sports than the people who cover them professionally. There was never a question that Mary would want Sarah standing beside her on this day as her matron of honor.

Connor Lindquist

Connor Lindquist

Best Man

Connor is Jake's brother. Jake embraced Connor as a younger brother soon after his birth — though not before asking his parents if Connor could be "returned." Some of Jake's favorite memories in life are the ones he's shared with Connor: caravanning across the country to and from college and searching for hotel pools to cool off in along the way, Saturday morning breakfasts during their overlap at Georgia Tech, surf weekends in San Diego, and Dead & Company shows where they somehow always found the most creative ways to skip the lines and get as close to the stage as possible.

As they've grown older, Jake's appreciation for Connor has only deepened. Connor has become Jake's closest friend, a trusted sounding board, and a role model. Jake is deeply grateful for Connor's steadiness, his thoughtfulness, and the wisdom he seems to carry well beyond his years. Through life's biggest decisions, challenges, and milestones, Connor has been a constant source of perspective and support.

Jake couldn't imagine his wedding without Connor by his side. He is proud to call him his brother, grateful to call him his friend, and honored to have him as his best man.

Lizzy Borges

Lizzy Borges

Bridesmaid

Mary likes to say you know you can trust someone when they load the dishwasher the right way, and by that measure, Lizzy passes with flying colors. Mary and Lizzy's friendship formed while leading a Life Group together at Sanctuary (Menlo Church's Young Adults ministry), and soon after they became roommates throughout their twenties. Years of sharing a home also taught Mary that Lizzy can elevate boxed mac and cheese into an art form, has read more books than anyone she knows while somehow owning very few of them, and still keeps up with Bachelor Nation in impressive detail. Beneath all of that, though, is someone whose friendships are marked by extraordinary consistency. Lizzy is the person who remembers to call, checks in without being asked, and quietly makes everyone around her feel like they belong. Mary is endlessly grateful for the years they spent growing into adulthood together and can't imagine celebrating this day without her.

Spencer Berry

Spencer Berry

Groomsman

Jake met Spencer through high school cross-country, though their friendship grew through shared classes, church group, and more than one unsuccessful attempt to throw a rave at summer camp. Through college, career changes, and life's many milestones, Spencer has remained a constant presence. Some of Jake's favorite memories are the Sunday evenings spent grilling and relaxing by the pool at Spencer and Krista's apartment.

Jake is especially grateful for Spencer's steadiness, encouragement, and unwavering belief in him. From pushing him to pursue his MBA to serving as an example of what it means to be a devoted husband and father, Spencer has had a lasting impact on Jake's life and friendship.

Kelly De Los Santos

Kelly De Los Santos

Bridesmaid

Mary wouldn't be surprised to learn that some of you have already met Kelly Knickerbocker De Los Santos. On a campus as big as UCLA, introducing yourself as "Kelly Knickerbocker's roommate" was practically its own credential, and there was a good chance people already knew exactly who you meant. Mary's own story with Kelly began freshman year while pledging Kappa Kappa Gamma, and it didn't take long to discover that Kelly had a remarkable way of living out her faith through friendship, generosity, and genuine care for others. Whether it was football games, late-night frozen yogurt runs, or road trips to Mammoth, Kelly was always packing every last seat in her car, convinced there was always room for one more. In quieter ways, that same open-heartedness helped Mary rediscover her faith and a stronger sense of purpose. Kelly has a rare gift for making people feel like they belong, and looking back, that's one of the greatest gifts she's given Mary too. Mary is so grateful to have Kelly beside her, just as she has been in so many of the chapters that helped bring her here.

Nick Henze

Nick Henze

Groomsman

Jake and Nick have been close friends since the age of three, when Jake's mom asked Nick if Jake could be his friend. In 4th grade, Jake and Nick were oddly the only two students who found an informational video about the Gold Rush hilarious, resulting in their getting kicked out of class for the afternoon. This seems to accurately sum the pair up — while everyone else is going about their business, Jake and Nick are usually laughing and cracking up.

Through the years, Nick has been the friend who is always willing to check in and hear how life is going, how Jake's family is doing, and whether Jake has been to any good concerts recently. Jake is especially grateful for the way Nick has remained such a steady and genuine friend through every stage of life. No matter how much time passes between conversations, they always seem able to pick right back up where they left off.

Nick has been there for many of the moments that have shaped Jake's life. Jake is honored to have Nick standing beside him on his wedding day and looks forward to many more years of friendship and laughing at things that nobody else seems to find funny.

Abby Lindquist

Abby Lindquist

Bridesmaid

Shortly after Mary dragged Jake to a Fourth of July party to meet her sister, he returned the favor by introducing her to his sister, Abby, and inducting Mary into the Lindquist family Sunday dinner tradition. Abby made Mary feel welcome right away, with the kind of thoughtful attention that shows up in everything from the questions she asks to the meals she plans around what everyone loves. That same care and creativity carry into just about everything Abby does, whether she is training for another marathon, keeping up with every reality dating show worth discussing, or explaining that competitive puzzling is, in fact, a real thing. Thanks to Abby, Mary has now competed in a four-person puzzling tournament and finished a 1,000-piece puzzle in under 40 minutes. She has also learned that Jeopardy nights are deeply humbling when Abby and Jake are in the same room, since between the two of them, they somehow know every answer. Abby is dedicated, generous, and deeply fun to be around. Mary is so lucky to be gaining Abby as a sister, and even luckier to have her standing beside her.

Kevin Hopkins

Kevin Hopkins

Groomsman

Jake met Kevin during his first year in college. Kevin was sociable, well-liked, and seemingly well-positioned to move Jake up the complex, bureaucratic social structure of Georgia Tech. Naturally Jake concluded that befriending him would be a strategic move. The two soon discovered a shared sense of humor, common interests, and enough similarities that they've occasionally wondered whether they're long-lost relatives.

Over the years, their friendship has endured through cross-country visits, cycling adventures, ski weekends, and countless conversations that make two hours feel like twenty minutes. Jake is especially grateful for Kevin's unwavering belief in him, their shared devotion to family, and a friendship that remains strong no matter how much time passes between visits.

Rachael Mott Burke

Rachael Mott Burke

Bridesmaid

Rachael has been one of Mary's closest friends since they met on the soccer field in sixth grade, with Mary in center midfield and Rachael holding down left back. Years of soccer together taught them a lot about teamwork, resilience, and pushing themselves beyond what they thought they could do... and that ice baths are every bit as uncomfortable as they sound. Their friendship has survived different schools, opposite coasts, every stage of adulthood, and it is somehow always picking up exactly where it left off. Whether they were filming documentaries in high school, wandering quaint Boston streets in search of the perfect gift shop, or spending entire afternoons rewatching the six-hour BBC version of Pride and Prejudice, they have always shared a love of beautiful things and creative ideas. After more than twenty years of friendship, Mary can't imagine this day without her.

Garrett Landrith

Garrett Landrith

Groomsman

Garrett is Jake's cousin and friend. Their shared history includes summer camping trips at McArthur Burney Falls, filming parody commercials for high-fiber breakfast cereal, visits to each other during college, and advising one another on various woodworking, car, or home-improvement projects. If something involves lumber, tools, an engine, or a questionable amount of optimism, there's a good chance Jake and Garrett have discussed it. Between the two of them, there has never been a project that couldn't be made more complicated with enough brainstorming. Garrett holds the title of the first to congratulate Jake and Mary on their engagement, as he photographed the proposal. There's no one that Jake trusts more when it comes to photography and telling a story through pictures than Garrett.

Over the years, Garrett has remained one of Jake's biggest supporters — always ready with encouragement, honest accountability, and a well-timed laugh. Jake is incredibly grateful to have Garrett not only as a cousin, but as a lifelong friend who has been there through every chapter of life.

Megan Shaver

Megan Shaver

Bridesmaid

Mary first met Megan through their life group as a friend's little sister, but she quickly became part of the crew in her own right, and soon after, one of Mary's closest friends. Mary was thrilled to have another Bay Area native who seemed destined to stick around for the long haul. Unfortunately, San Diego seems to have a habit of stealing all the best ones. Thankfully, before San Diego got its way, Mary and Megan spent two years as roommates, filling them with Bay Area adventures, nights on the couch binging TV, and the kind of conversations that somehow made both the good days and the hard ones better. Megan has an infectious joy that's impossible to miss, but what Mary appreciates most is the way she makes people feel seen. Whether she's remembering the little things, making everyone feel welcome, or simply showing up fully for the people she loves, Megan has a remarkable gift for turning ordinary moments into lasting friendships.

Danny O'Neel

Danny O'Neel

Groomsman

Danny and Jake have been friends since they were five years old, when they met as neighbors on Dunsmuir Avenue in Menlo Park. Their friendship nearly came to an end at age ten when Danny moved away — as one can imagine, this has a significant impact on a ten year old. In this case, he moved one street away and one bus stop earlier than Jake's — heart-wrenching. The Lindquists soon followed, allowing the friendship to survive this difficult chapter.

Since then, Danny has been a constant through every stage of life. Jake especially appreciates his steady presence, genuine curiosity about the people around him, and the intellect that enables lengthy conversations about everything from life to obscure corners of professional cycling. He is grateful to call Danny a lifelong friend.

Christina Sterling

Christina Sterling

Bridesmaid

Christina is disproportionately responsible for two of Mary's fussier drinking habits: fine wine and good coffee. Their friendship began bouncing around tap-taps in Haiti on a Sanctuary mission trip, but it was cultivated over Blue Bottle lattes before work, Wednesday night bottles of Napa Cab, and countless conversations about faith and life. Christina has a rare gift for making people feel completely known while gently helping them discover more about themselves. She's the kind of friend whose couch becomes a refuge after a hard day, and whose generosity is just as likely to show up in an ordinary Wednesday as it is in life's biggest moments. She has helped Mary build a faith that is deeply her own and the confidence to trust it. Mary is incredibly grateful for the friendship they've built and can't imagine celebrating this day without Christina by her side.

Dylan Redding

Dylan Redding

Groomsman

Jake met Dylan when they were both pledges in Delta Sigma Phi at Georgia Tech. While they're great friends now, Dylan was the cooler of the California kids in their pledge class, and Jake may have found that mildly threatening. Their friendship was forged in the flames of taking dynamics from an awful professor together. Dylan managed to eke out a solid grade, but suffice it to say that Dr. Itzhak Green's rating on rate my professor is currently 1.3/5, and 0% of students "would take his course again." Ask Dylan for more details.

The two later reunited in the Bay Area as roommates, where they bonded over cycling, skiing, live music, and a shared love of good coffee. Since then, Dylan has been a source of countless adventures, laughs, and great memories. Jake especially values his thoughtfulness and his ability to stay connected, no matter how busy life gets. His friendship has been a steady and meaningful part of Jake's life for many years.
